With silky smooth Rhodes keys and chipmunked vocal samples, "Keep Your Head Up" is a soulful narrative that comforts and uplifts while keeping your head bopping (if not up). This tip of the hat to '90s R&B and West Coast rap is Rejjie Snow's first release of the year and comes in advance of the highly anticipated Dear Annie, which is due to be released later this year.

I'm daydreaming about a road trip. No particular destination in mind — just me, the road, duffel bag in the back seat, windows down, and this song on repeat. I'm not cool enough to pull off this cliché but I can enjoy the soundtrack all the same. Originally a charmingly kitschy song by TheSenseiBlue, it's flourished into a buttery smooth and soulfully funky arrangement at the hands of Mick Jenkins and Toronto's own BADBADNOTGOOD. Dig it.

'Wide Open' Letter

Remember that time we got to the party kinda late? We dilly dallied because we thought it was a bit overhyped and that it would be winding down by the time we got there.

But do you remember how amazing it was when we finally showed up? The music was intoxicating; the space beautiful; everybody was dancing. And then we ran into that old friend of yours… He's cool.

No? You don't remember? Oh well—check out this song anyway.
